By: Chad Weitekamp | SCHEELS Trap Shooting Expert
While I was traveling for shooting tournaments, I went to SCHEELS to burn some time and was blown away. When SCHEELS opened in my hometown of Springfield in 2011, I jumped at the chance to work with what I was passionate about and become a true expert.
As a sportsman always looking for an edge, I was looking for a way to hone my skills as a shot-gunner in the off season. I found that when I became a member of the Missouri S&T Trap and Skeet Team. From the first time I set foot on the range, I was hooked on shooting sports. The skills I had developed from growing up bird hunting transitioned well into shooting clay targets.
