Young children need as durable of a backpack as anyone. You wouldn’t think it, but they carry around a lot of stuff! The UA Hustle 3.0 is great for younger kids. First of all, it’s made with UA Storm technology which is a highly water-resistant finish, so their items will stay dry and protected through most of the elements. They can carry around folders, books, laptop, change of clothes, lunch and other necessities. The tough, abrasion-resistant bottom panel will come in handy so they don’t blow out the bottom of the bag. Also the lined 15” laptop sleeve is another great feature, just in case they need to transport a laptop.

Depending on where you live, they probably need to haul snow pants and boots back and forth from home to school during the winter months. An awesome feature of this pack is the large, gusseted front laundry/shoe pocket on the bottom of the bag. This will be great to put their boots in or an athletic shoe when going straight to practice. Overall, this backpack is a great choice and it comes in many colors and patterns to fit anyone’s style!

As students move up through school, they have different needs for a backpack. This can include sports, traveling, class, hiking, the list goes on and on, so having a backpack with organizational features is essential.

The Patagonia Refugio is an excellent choice, it also comes in a women’s specific style to fit everyone just right. This is Patagonia’s most popular backpack and is built with the high quality materials Patagonia is known for. It has three main pockets to help you stay organized. The main compartment will hold a majority of your weight and features a lined tablet sleeve and a laptop sleeve that will hold most 15” laptops. The second pocket holds smaller objects and keeps your chargers and accessories organized. The final pocket is a front stash pocket for items you want close at hand. Finally, there is a pocket on top of the backpack that protects items like sunglasses or your phone.

The exterior of the pack has two large water bottle pockets and mesh on the shoulder straps and back panels to keep you cool. Another benefit to choosing this backpack is the ability to use it for many outdoor activities, such as backpacking or hiking.

The backpack is coated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish so when you’re hiking and it starts to sprinkle, you’ll be covered. The other cool feature is in the main compartment. The laptop sleeve can hold a hydration reservoir! This backpack comes in a ton of colors so you’ll be able to find one that matches your style!

You’ve graduated high school and now you’re off to higher education, which means you will need a backpack to support your heavier load that comes with college classes! Books are larger and more than likely you’ll carry your laptop or tablet with you everywhere you go. Not only are you going to classes but you’re probably traveling more. Whether it’s to going to school, traveling home, or venturing on a spring break trip, you’ll need a backpack to accommodate all of those needs and the North Face Surge will do just that.

Starting with the exterior of the pack, it has the FlexVent suspension system that includes molded shoulder straps, a padded mesh back panel with a spine channel, and a wicking lumbar panel for maximum support and ventilation. Having a backpack with support built in is very important, because you will be carrying a lot more weight than in previous school years. The outside of the pack also has a 360° reflective bike loop, water bottle tabs and shoulder strap webbing, which are needed for early mornings or late nights on campus.

Looking inside the backpack, there is a main compartment for books and binders, a front compartment with a fleece-lined tablet sleeve and organization pockets. One of the best features of this backpack is the lie-flat, fleece lined 15” laptop section, so when you’re traveling it lies flat for easy security checks. Finally, there is another fleece lined pocket that can be used for sunglasses or a cell phone. This backpack will get you through your college years but will also be able to be used long after!
