It’s time to go back to school, which means moving your entire wardrobe. We are here to help you organize, figure out what pieces you actually need to take with you and what apparel you should add once you arrive.

To Pack

There are certain items that you can’t go without. Here is a running list of essentials that you should pack in your suitcase.

  • Jeans
  • Sweats
  • Graphic tees
  • Lounging wear
  • Fitness tops/bottoms
  • Dressy tops
  • Sun dresses
  • Cocktail dress

To Purchase

Some things you are better off purchasing. Wear and tear can happen and it’s ok to toss it out or update your look for this new chapter of your life. Our list below touches on the top items to purchase on arrival.

  • Team apparel
  • Backpack
  • Walking shoes/boots
  • Bicycle/Longboard
  • Rain jacket
  • Winter coat

Let’s break it down and identify the key pieces that are setting up camp in our suitcase.

Patagonia Pullover

This pullover is essential for those long walks on campus once the weather starts to cool off. It can be worn with jeans and an ankle bootie or with sweats. The diamond quilted pattern adds texture without becoming bulky. All in all, this is a must have for your closet.

Under Armour Play Up Short

The Play Up Short is our favorite for running or lounging around. The longer rise inseam helps to avoid bunching and rising. It also has a drawcord on the soft elastic waistband to help you get the right sizing.

O’Neil Dress

Bring a dress for those warm days or when you need to dress up. This boho-chic tunic dress has a halter tie top, letting you adjust to a length that is comfortable for you. Dress it up with a pair of wedges for a night out or add a structured jacket and flats for class. Tunic dresses are also very comfortable, making this the perfect confidence builder for a first impression on campus.

Silver Skinny Jean

This mid-rise skinny jean has shape-perfecting denim to hug your curves and waist to prevent gapping. We also like to have a “clean jean”, which means it has little to no embellishments. Bring jeans that can be paired with multiple outfits. This helps to avoid bringing multiples of the same thing.

Fan Gear

Now we need to show our support for our favorite teams on campus.

Nebraska T-Shirt

Show your support by wearing a graphic tee with your school’s colors or team name. This tee is subtle enough to wear all day long or to sport at your tailgating event before the game.

Nike Hawkeyes Hoodie

Stay warm and toasty while you cheer on your favorite team. This hoodie has a high neck to stop the wind from blowing right through you and protect your neck at those cold night games.

Nevada Hat

Cheer on your Nevada Wolf Pack in this Triple Threat hat by Top of the World. It features an embroidered and raised graphic on the front. It will be perfect for those hot days when you want to block out the sun.

Sometimes you need to get places a little sooner than planned. We have the right solution for you.

 Inline Skates

Skates are a great way to get from place to place in a shorter amount of time. If you have limited space, skates are the way to go. They are also a great form of exercise and help to tone up your legs.

Electra Bicycle

Bicycles are a great mode of transportation, especially if your school has bike paths. You can add a basket to the front or attach your books to the back rack. Did we mention the fun colors?

If you want the ease of a bicycle without the bulkiness, a longboard is for you. This has a drop-through mount for a stable ride with an easier push and turning.
